Client Services Administrator
William M. Howell is both a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Certified Public Accountant. He has more than 25 years of fee-only experience working with investment portfolios totaling over $200 million for individuals, pension plans and non-profit groups. Bill also has extensive experience working with individuals in all areas of personal financial planning. In addition, he has served in several executive management positions with Indiana based firms throughout his career.
Bill is the author of numerous articles and has been quoted on financial management issues in Money Magazine, Medical Economics, Indianapolis Magazine, SmartMoney and several newsletters. He has also conducted seminars and served as both a panelist on a television show, “Ask the Experts”, and as a financial planning expert to the Indianapolis WISH TV news program.
He is a member of and has held leadership positions in the Indiana CPA Society including the Leadership Cabinet and the Personal Financial Planning Committee. Bill was an early member of the National Association of Personal Financial Planners (NAPFA) and served as the Midwest Regional Coordinator. He is a long-time member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and its Personal Financial Planning section. Bill is a Cornerstone Advisor Council member within the Central Indiana Community Foundation. He has also served on the board of directors for the Noblesville-based Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County Indiana.
Bill is an active member and Elder of his church and established an endowment plan which has helped dozens of charitable organizations in the metro area. He is also an avid landscape photographer.
Amelia West is a Certified Financial Planner™ with over 15 years of experience in helping individuals, families, and small businesses reach their financial goals. In her role as Wealth Advisor, she develops, updates, and presents financial plans to our clients as well as assists in the implementation of financial planning recommendations.
She has extensive experience working directly with clients of all ages in areas including estate planning, retirement income needs, Social Security strategies, investment portfolio management, and personal insurance reviews.
Amelia earned a bachelor’s of science degree and a master’s degree in Economics, both from Purdue University. She currently serves on the Indiana Education Savings Authority Board which oversees the Indiana 529 College Savings Plan. She also serves as a board member liaison to The Caring Center, a local food pantry serving the needy in Boone County. In her spare time, Amelia enjoys volunteering at church and spending time outdoors with her husband and son.
Amy Woock joined Howell Financial Advisors in 2014 as the Client Services Administrator and is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP™). In this role, Amy works with the firm’s clients to administer the creation and maintenance of all client investment accounts and other client records. She provides support for processing client financial data and goals and assistance in preparing formal financial plans. She also reconciles the client investment activity into the firm’s investment management database.
Amy graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Actuarial Mathematics and has earned the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation. Previously, she worked as an actuary for several insurance firms in Michigan and the Central Indiana area.
In 2002, Amy put her career on hiatus to stay home and raise her three children, now college-age. Amy, along with her husband and children, resides in Carmel, IN where she enjoys outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.
